Seek First The Kingdom of God
I guess one of the things that stresses me out is going back to what my life was like before the coronavirus.
I don’t want to get back to the rat race where my whole mind and energy are focused on making ends meet and getting ahead in my business.
For the last couple of years I have been struggling with this reality. And before the coronavirus hit I had been praying for change—drastic change.
I want to remain close to you Lord and I want to remain close to my studies and to your service. Thank you for paving the way for me to combine my music, my students and my shows with Kingdom work so that my life is a testimony to you Lord.
I want my attitude to be to seek you and your kingdom and your righteousness and all other things will be added to us.
Looking back I know that you were with me all the way guiding me and giving me peace of heart. I knew that you have a plan for me that you are building through my music, my students and my audience using my skills and my talents and my knowledge and everything that you’re giving me to glorify your name.
Now I am starting to understand the paradox of being so focused on work while you hold me in your hand Lord and knowing that no one can take me away from you.
Romans 8:37-39 (NASB)
37 But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
John 10:28 (NASB)
28 and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand.
That was the confidence that I had and that’s what gave me the motivation and the courage to continue the task that I knew that you had given me. You put it on my heart and you gave me the faith to do it with all my might.
I’m still praying for change Lord. I am asking for a reality that includes a lot of work for the Kingdom and I ask that I will be able to participate and serve while successfully supporting my family.
You know our every need Lord so I continue with the attitude of I seek first your kingdom and your righteousness and all things will be added to us.
Create a new reality for me Lord. One where I am very involved in Your work. May your will be done and not mine. Keep me close to you Lord that Your will may be my will and that mine may be yours.
